Wigs stay on through fit first and accessories second. A wig that is the wrong size will fight you no matter how much glue, tape, or combs you add.

Low-effort methods

Adjustable straps tighten the cap. Combs and clips anchor into your hair. A wig grip adds friction around the head. An elastic band pulls the wig snug from ear to ear. These methods work well for glueless daily wear.

Adhesive methods

Wig tape and glue secure lace fronts along the hairline. They are useful for longer wear, events, sweating, or pulled-back styles. The tradeoff is removal: adhesive must be dissolved gently or it can irritate skin and damage edges.

For no hair or very short hair

Use a silicone grip, velvet wig grip, softer liner, or medical-style cap. Combs may not help if there is no hair to grip, and they can scratch sensitive scalps.

Bottom line

The best wig security system is the lightest one that works: correct cap size, straps or grip for daily wear, adhesive only when the style truly needs it.
